Xinjiang Economy Newspaper (Report by Wu Meixuan) Xinjiang, honored as Pearl of the Silk Road, is a treasure trove for exchanges and integration of mankind culture from the day of exploring the ancient Silk Road by Zhang Qian in the Han Dynasty (206BC-220AD), and the comprehensive implementation of "the Belt and Road" strategy today.
Since the founding of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Xinjiang has been all along engaging in the cultural exchanges with overseas counterparts, building up its own cultural brands and making its influence grow continuously. At present, there come into being four platforms for foreign cultural exchanges in Xinjiang, namely, China Xinjiang International Dance Festival, "Chinese and Overseas Culture Week" of the China-Eurasia Expo, China Xinjiang International Art Biennale, and the "Xinjiang Culture Week" hosted by Overseas Culture Center, making Xinjiang a culture highland taking shape.
The positive energy in culture are in memory of many friends at home and abroad. The impressive performance in these platforms leave all of us good memories, including the cultural feast brought by artists from Xinjiang and beyond at the first Xinjiang International Art Exhibition; and excellent shows by Uygur performers, such the humorous dance Colorful Belts, vigorous Doran Maxirap and flexible Bowl Dance, unique and enthusiastic, displaying the splendid Xinjiang culture.
